Kathy: Pike are moving in following the shiners around, Been seeing plenty of Pike.
More snow, so traveling around is limited. We have plowed roads to where we need to go.
Also had some flooding/slush after this last snow, All is froze back up on the roads, and
things are good again. One of our Clients took a 41" Pike over the weekend. Plenty of eater
size pike are being seen to fill out a limit of Pike. Over all the action has been great.
The big girls will start moving in for the Pre-spawn feed. It's going to get good from here.
Jason: Whitefish Chain has good ice all around, still able to drive anywhere we want to
on the lake. The fish have been good over all, with a few days here and there that are less than
par. Over the weekend the numbers of fish were down, but the quality of pike seen was excellent.
I think the bigger fish are starting to put the feed bag on. Over half the fish seen this weekend
were over 30" with most fish being seen just after sunrise, and the last 2 hours of the day, Most
Pike were very aggresive which made for some fun action. Whities are still filtering through the
hole's through-out the day, and mixed sizes from 18" up to 24" seen, harvested, or missed.
Walleye action is still hit or miss. Some days are better than others, but hopefully after this full moon
things will start to pick up for a more consistant bite.
